They were rumored to have been made by Mason and in my opinion sound better than the Gibson dog ear P-90s, which can sound brittle at times. These P-90 pickups sound amazing! They have a great bite when you put a little attack into them and can mellow out when played softer. The guitar is equipped with 2 P-90 pickups, a 3-way toggle, 2 volume and 2 tone pots, and a trapeze tailpiece. These are cosmetic imperfections that do not affect playability. There are some minor scratches here that are not very noticeable, as well as one small dent on the treble side of the neck near the 8th fret. Overall, the guitar is in excellent condition, especially considering that it is 37 years old. These Matsumoko Epiphones are really second to none and in many was are better than their Gibson 330 counterpart. These older Japanese Casino guitars are known for their amazing build quality, playability, and tone. The guitar was made in 1981 at the very reputable Matsumoto factory in Japan. Up for sale is this vintage Epiphone Casino in a beautiful antique sunburst (ASB) finish.
